Biography
The group was created in 1999.
Like a “ship” mooring new harbors, leaving and collecting her “crew”, several musicians did come and go – bringing and leaving their own way of feeling the music - though contributing to the richness of the group.
The ensemble is an acoustic group with an heavy accent on vocal arrangements .
The present formation has its origins in 2005. It presently works in the production of songs for a CD, with its “premiere” scheduled for 2011. This CD “NAU” makes an “different” approach to the universality of the Portuguese culture by arranging original themes of Nau, José Afonso, Fausto, Vitorino, Trovante, as well as some authors from Angola, Mozambique and Cape Verde. The group has also set to music some poems from the arabic poet Al-Mu’tamid, born in Beja ( A.C. 1040 ).
