Biography

Some have compared me to Tom Waits or to Leonard Cohen. Probably because of my gravelly voice. Mel Torme was known as the "Velvet Fog" Some folks have called me the "Velcro Fog", if you get my drift!
Have been playing and writing from a very early age and spent more than fifteen years on the road as a hired gun and occasionally as a sound engineer.
I record all of my music in my personal project facility called "The Roots Cellar Studio" at my home in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The winters here are long and cold so there are lots of opportunities to hunker down whenever inspiration presents itself. With the exception of one or two songs that feature electric guitar parts, all instruments were played by Stan Konig. Instruments played are as follows: Acoustic guitars, Dobro, banjo, mandolin, accordions, piano and keyboards, bass guitar, drums and percussion. I am recording to ProTools and mastering to SoundForge.
