Biography
I'm from a small town in New Hampshire on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee, the "oldest summer resort in America". Music kept us warm through the long, cold New England winters when all the vacationers left in mid-September. It could get pretty lonely too, so I love to connect through a well written folk or country tune....my greatest thrill is when I hear listeners sing few lines of my original tunes. I love songs that connect with others. I've studied with some of the best in the business and my mission is to write and rewrite my songs to get them "right" and out there. I believe in digging a little deeper for the good.
I love going to songwriting camps including Summersongs, Summer Acoustic Week (WUMB) and Cedar Run to learn the craft and to get inspired.
I'm a psychotherapist/social worker by profession so connection is my thing, day or night! I love to sit down and listen to stories. I get lifted by the courage individuals face in adversity and how much they can heal with support and resources.
I sing solo but have several wonderful musicians who are willing to support me when the gig requires a bigger sound. My influences are Hugh Prestwood, Roseanne Cash, Johnny Rivers, Michael P. Smith, Kathy Hussey and Tom Kimmel. I am a story teller.
