Biography
BLACKDOG was formed in 2003 by Michael and K-Swiss, Michael talks about their vision for the band. "K-Swiss and I had totally different styles, at first we clashed on what we were writing, each of us pulling in the direction we wanted, it wasn't until we were talking one day that we decided to try to incorporate each others strengths in our own style, and what we found was amazing to us, the songs quickly start to take on a life of their own , so we just got out of their way and let them develop" after writing for a few months, Michael and K-Swiss hooked up with bassist Randy the connection with Randy was evident immediately, K-Swiss recalls " Everything that we had hoped to find in a bass player we found in Randy Davis, after more than a few drummers had found their way into the Blackdog line up, The band hooked up with Bart Windsor in 2005, Bart is the 4th piece to this puzzle, When we write, The music always comes first.
BLACKDOG is being recognized as one of the top bands in Dallas, playing shows at THE CURTAIN CLUB, TOMCATS, CLUB CLEARVIEW, and the TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY for the NASCAR Truck Series and the IRL Race in June of 2005. BLACKDOG DEBUT ALBUM "UNLEASHED" will be out in late September 2005.
