Manitoba native Matt Epp is irrefutably one of the most extraordinary in a generation of emerging artists to come out of this country in the past decade. A rock poet with his distinguished soulful folk sounds infused with a hint of alt-rock aesthetic, child-like and sometimes off-beat humour, Epp carries the torch of a rich Canadian songwriting tradition that hails back to the likes of Lightfoot, Mitchell, Cohen, Young and Cockburn.
