Biography
Noa Bentor is an Israeli singer- songwriter who rose to
prominence as an entertainer at the age of twenty after moving to New York, where she studied and
lived for five years.
With heavy influences from such musical icons as Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan and Janis Ian to Cat Power, Beck andWilco, Noa’s performance deftly communicates solid melody coupled with punchy lyrics and masterful string work.
But perhaps it's is the voice that Noa gives to the human condition surrounding issues of angst, love and day to day living that make her compelling to the the adult contemporary market and a magnet to the soft alternative genre.
In 2005, she recorded her
debut album "Waiting on a Shelf", which garnered her recognition as one of Tel-Aviv’s premier artists and
prompted an opportunity for her to be the opening act for Suzanne Vega atat her promotional
concert tours held in Tel-Aviv in 2009.
Now with the success of one album safely behind her,
Noa forges ahead with the launch of a second one,
called "Modern Grace", coming out July 2011.
