Biography

Since the release of his debut album in Onefifteen, singer-songwriter Chris Davis has been drawing comparisons to such musical craftsmen as John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Adam Levine, and Keith Urban. Armed with musical depth, catchy hooks, and a flare for blues and funk guitar, the 22 year old Texan continues to build his fan base at a grassroots level. Onefifteen was produced by Lynn Nichols and Grammy award winner, Tedd T who have helped mold such successful acts as Switchfoot, MuteMath, Mat Kearney, and The Band Perry. Chris continues to carve out his own niche in the world of singer-songwriters and his sound is a refreshing one for fans of true pop music.

- In December of 2012, American Songwriter Magazine & Martin Guitar Selected Chris as a Top 25 Finalist in their "The Pub Deal" contest and

- In May of 2012 Onefifteen spent a week in the top 20 Most Downloaded Albums on Noisetrade, peaking at Number 4.

- In February of 2012, HollisterCo added "This Could Be Love" to their Hollister Spring Soundtrack to be played in store as well as streamed online

- In January 2012, Chris partnered with DMX Music Licensing to allow tracks from OneFifteen to be played in retail stores such as PacSun, Abercrombie & Fitch, Coach, Burberry, and others.

- In October 2011, Chris released his first official album,OneFifteen EP on independent Wirewalk Records - Produced by Lynn Nichols (Switchfoot, Mat Kearney) and Tedd T (MuteMath)

- Chris released "Phases EP" as an independent demo in late 2008 - Produced by John Dufilho (The Apples In Stereo)

  AMBITIONS: Make a bunch of great records and play them for people everywhere. Always improve as a person, songwriter, guitar player and singer.
  
  TURN-OFFS: I’m always turned off by people who take themselves too seriously. It’s really just not worth it.
  
  TURN-ONS: A good sense of humor and a good sense of balance to everything in life.
  
  DREAM GIG: This is a tough one, but either playing Red Rocks Amphitheater or the Crossroads Guitar Festival. Honestly though, I’d be happy just to be on tour and playing for people every night!
  
  TV ADDICTIONS: I have way too many! At the top of the list though is Arrested Development, Psych, The Office, and Seinfeld.
  
  CELEBRITY CRUSH: Zooey Deschanel
  
  WORDS TO LIVE BY: Never make someone a priority that only makes you an option.
  
  SMARTEST PERSON I KNOW: Probably Siri, but I would never say that to her face.
  
  I NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT: trying to remember to wear pants.
  
  I WROTE THIS SONG: while trying to write the most simple, dreamlike love song. Up until this point, I had not been able to break through with writing a truly catchy, simple song. I’d been on a streak that involved starting songs then complicating them and losing my way. So they never got finished. I needed to break the habit and attempted to write something simple and happy. This song enabled me to write the rest of my EP, Onefifteen. It truly helped me set the tone I wanted– a bright, summer pop sound. Hopefully, I succeeded.
