Dear Sir/Madam,

Pastel Jack are a four piece metal band from Kingston upon Hull, Yorkshire, England. The band consists of Neil Bailey (Vocals), Peter Delaney (Guitar), Dave Cope (Bass) and Tom Cope (Drums). They have been practising and gigging together since late 2007, working with a relentless intensity to book and promote gigs, manage their own websites, create their own videos and do their own PR.

Pastel Jack formed in February 2007; Pete, Tom and Dave having worked together for a number of years in other bands. The line up was completed eight months later when Neil returned to the area after university.

Pastel Jack mix their own style of heavy metal and catchy melodies with a progressive touch. After wowing audiences across Britain with a huge passion for what they do, Pastel Jack entered the studio to record their debut E.P ‘Ghost in the Machine', to which it received numerous positive reviews. Following on the success of this, the band entered the studio again in 2011 to record their first full length album, 'Trojan Horse'. The band have recorded a full length video to accompany their first single, 'Methematic'. The band have recently released 'Swan Dive' as a new video in July 2012.

With these recordings under their belt, Pastel Jack began to entertain audiences on a grander scale, playing the original stage at Tribfest, Europe’s biggest tribute festival, as well as headlining slots at Bradford Gasworks and other local venues around the Hull and Yorkshire area. The band has been fortunate enough to share the stage with some bigger names, supporting Blitzkrieg on their 30th anniversary tour, Zico Chain, Sarah Jezebel Deva, Beholder and many up and coming bands such as Evil Scarecrow and Sworn Amongst.

Pastel Jack have established themselves as a band with a passion to create heavy metal, mixing styles from the new wave of heavy metal bands such as Trivium, Alter Bridge and Avenged Sevenfold, through to Iron Maiden and Metallica. Pastel Jack are aiming to put their mark on the British music scene, already impressing audiences with their high energy performances and tight live shows.

Pastel Jack intend to push forward further into 2012 with their own brand of heavy metal, building a following wherever they play and pushing their debut album, 'Trojan Horse'. With an abundance of songs already prepared for their next recording, booked in for April 2013, a passion for the stage and a constant love for what they do, Pastel Jack are hoping to see things turn their way in the near future.

  ‘Ghost in the Machine’ is a modern thrash release with a vocal delivery quite different to that of the current crop of thrashers, which tends to make the listener feel more comfortable in a traditional British metal outfit rather than a hybrid thrash explosion that these chaps currently produce. At the end of the day, it is all heavy metal and the metal is good, Pastel Jack are worth checking out and a promising band for future rages.
