We're a flexible singer-songwriter group (yeah, group) who can sit on stools and engage the audience with complete intimacy or plug in amps and blow your ears off, depending on our mood. As such, we feature both "plugged" and "un-plugged" versions of almost all our songs.

Artist Information

Biography

Michelle started playing guitar at the age of 7 and soon started writing her own songs. Over the years she's played several instruments, including the piano, the French horn, bass guitar and the Irish penny whistle. She likes to rock out whenever possible, but deep down, she's an acoustic guitarist with a knack for singing directly, and personally, to her audience. Her songs are borne of inspirations from real life, which accounts in large measure for the intimacy with which audiences regard her performance - everyone sitting there has "been there, done that," she's just said it out loud.

In 2005, Michelle met James Scott, who was the bass player with a Dallas are band. They began dating and in 2009, were married. James has been instrumental in giving Michelle the extra "oomph" necessary to perform live, as well as providing backup vocals and bass support. They're currently putting together a rock-pop cover band in the south Dallas area, in addition to working on this singer-songwriter project.

Michelle includes among her influences such divergent talents as: James Taylor, Paul Simon, Heart, Foo Fighters, Melissa Etheridge, Tool, Clannad, and Sheryl Crow.
