Biography
I am from South Africa. Ballet used to take first priority in my life and my dream was to become a professional dancer. However, after acute fractures in both feet and an operation to fix it, that dream came to a screeching halt. Thankfully I had another passion.....music.So after marriage, babies, time to heal my heart and 11 years of singing and playing piano in a church band, I finally had the opportunity to record my debut album. It was launched In September 2009. I have not yet presented it to local recording labels, as I'm not convinced that it is the best thing for me to do, at this stage in my life. I have been performing locally at different corporate events and various festivals and shows.
I continue to write new material together with my producer Bruce Wallace ( who happens to be a phenomenal drummer).
My music is a combination of different influences throughout my life that includes my classical training in piano and ballet, and the various styles of music that I was exposed to.
I still feel that I have to find MY style that is distinctly ME. So I see myself as on a journey, and I take each day as it comes.
I'll continue, to try and find.....my place in this world.
