Biography

The Urban Prophetz, currently consists of Phreaze (female MC/Producer), Likwid Eyece (MC), Rawz (MC/Beatbox), Rymez (Vocalist) and Official Urban Prophetz DJ Serge. As soloists, these artists present both technical lyrical content, but also strong projection and unique flows., always ensuring a “message” in every song. With strong roots from Aotearoa (New Zealand), Urban Prophetz promote diversity by encompassing a variety of styles, utilising a number of producers, mixing unique instruments with Hip Hop beats and topics.

==ACCOMPLISHMENTS==
In July 2010, Urban Prophetz were recognised by the AAMMA’s for excellence in the Urban Music genre receiving the award for BEST INDIGENOUS / ETHNIC BAND OR ACT for the year 2010. Other major accomplishments include the support of International acts such as BOYZ II MEN (USA), OUTLAWZ (USA), SAVAGE (NZ), SMASHPROOF (NZ), 2FACE IDIBIA (AFRICA) & PROJECT X (USA) with upcomming supports for BONE THUGS N HARMONY (USA) and DJ RECTANGLE (USA) booked for late 2010. The new UPC album CALL OF DUTY is also due for release 29th Oct 2010.

In order to keep each show relevant per event, all sets are created seperately prior to the event.

Urban Prophetz have many years of experience performing for crowds of all ages/backgrounds, therefore you can rest assured that no offensive content or explicit language will be performed at family/all-age events. Urban Prophetz aim to create sets appropriate for each event to motivate audiences and share in stories of struggle through music.
