Biography
Napper Tandy is one hard-rocking band that hasn’t lost touch with its Celtic roots! Fronted by Limerick-born tenor, Liam Aherne, these boys perform hard-driving original arrangements that are pure Celtic but all Rock.
Napper Tandy’s instrumentation sets the stage for powerhouse sound – with drums, bass, Highland & electric pipes, guitar, mandolin, bouzouki and vocals. Their sets include revved-up versions of Irish tunes and classic rock songs from The Who, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and more - all delivered with a unique, powerful Celtic influence.
Intense arrangements and strong delivery brings out the raw nerve and defiant spirit lying just below the surface in many favorite traditional Irish songs. Plus, they bring a unique Celtic musicality to classic rock songs popular with a wide range of audiences.
The band’s high energy and exceptional musical talent has made them a favorite on the Midwest pub circuit, playing to packed crowds in the best houses.
