Biography

Once upon a time in a land unknown and far away two misfits had twin baby girls. Unruly as they were, they sold the girls to a burlesque dancer who taught them how to love and dream. They spent playful days practicing their tightrope act to Sgt. Pepper and haunted nights under the spell of Bjork developing a taste for sweet bitterness like a licorice jellybean. Tired of life in their mistress’s act, they planned their escape from the life they knew. On their 18th birthday they hopped a train for Paris and were never heard from again. Some say they died; some say they're dancers at Pigalle; some claim they're Princesses at Disneyland; but they all say, they're Ooo La La.



Yma has recorded and written with Grammy Award winning writer/producer, Jim Peterik ("Eye of the Tiger", "Vehicle", etc.), producer/songwriter/director, Trevor Lawrence (“I’m So Excited”, “Slow Hand”, etc.), Vancouver’s Vic LeVak (RCA's, Balligomingo) and Juno award winning producer, Adam King (The Good Lovelies).
