Biography
So…..who, and what, are Romp???
We are:-
Steven lead vocals
AJ rhythm guitar, vocals, keyboards,
Manoj lead guitar, backing vocals
The word “Romp” means “To play, sport, or frolic in a very lively, merry, or boisterous manner. To drive or convey in a romping fashion”, which more or less sums up this band’s approach to rock music.
Mad, bad and dangerous to know, their musical tastes have always been very eclectic - from AC/DC to JS Bach - and this "no pigeon-holes" character finds expression in their music.
Friends of the band describe Steven as “wild at heart, playful, and eternally optimistic”, AJ as “intense, perfectionist and exhibitionist”, and Manoj as “extrovert, mischievous, and cheeky”, all of which means that shows amaze with artistry, sparkle with raw energy, and entertain with intelligence and humour.
Considerable talent and questionable judgment combine to create a perfect storm you really would be silly to miss.
