Biography
Goines music is a patchwork, weaved with experiences from his past and inspired by his creative drive to change the future.
Goines is originally from Los Angeles, CA. After his mother suffered from a stroke when he was 10, Goines and the family made the move to Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Dealing another blow to the family, Goines’ father left soon after the move. Always the quiet and reflective one, Goines stuck to himself throughout his younger years. At age 17, after seeing two MCs battle at school, Goines thought it was something he could do and began going home writing rhymes. Soon after, rap became a way for Goines to vent the frustrations he was living through. “Once you get to know me you will learn that I can tell you more in a song than in a conversation…in a song you can just pinpoint what I’m feeling or saying…”
Fast forward some years later and Goines has grown into one of Arkansas' most promising young talents. In 2009, Goines' had a track featured in the best selling video game, Modern Warfare 2. Additionally, Goines music caught the attention of Hip Hop blog sites throughout the country, further expanding his fan base. 2010 has already shaped up to be a good year for Goines. With a slew of mixtape releases and appearances, Goines solidified his presence in the independent music scene. In 2011, Goines has his eyes set on the next level.
