Dree Paterson is an indie pop singer songwriter with a Motown feel.
Having written songs with artist Nicco (Sony Europe) for overseas placement and having landed two of her demos on network tv shows "Parenthood" and "White Collar" in 2011, Dree's highly anticipated first single release for her song "Waiting (When I See You)" couldn't have come at a better time.
"Waiting" is a song about taking charge of your life and dreams and not waiting for something to happen, because it probably never will. This is a feel good song that has caught the attention of many awards and nominations in 2012 some of which are the Hollywood Music and Media Awards, the Rawards Musician of the Year, LA Music Awards, and the Indie Channel Music Awards taking home a win for the tune.
Dree raised money for her debut music video for "Waiting (When I See You)" through her fans via IndieGogo and the release date is Feb 4th 2013!
You can catch Dree playing consistently in her favorite venues like the Roxy, Viper Room, Skinny's Lounge, the Belasco Theatre, and touring locally with her fantastic band.

"The Result of Giving 110% Her EP may be finished by spring. Woo hoo! So within a short amount of time we’ll be able to share the goodies from this NEXT GEN singer/songwriter. And since the 2011 Grammy Winning Best New Artist taught us that unknowns can kick ___; we’re rootin’ for this gal. Miss Adriani “Dree” Paterson performs all over the country and she’s working with several producers and musicians to create commercialistic, marketable music that many complain about being lost in the music biz. She’s had a taste of radio play at KPFK 90.7FM and you can probably find her performing in 2-5 monthly shows. Adriani once had the ballerina dreams most girls grow up with. That was until she realized what ballet truly entailed. (Oopsie.) She high tailed it to hip hop and jazz and then... One night she was about to impersonate Gwen Stefani on stage with backup dancers and the whole sha-bang and she decided to sing live and blew the socks off the crowd. Can you guess what happened next? 15 years a dancer, 2 years pursuing music and 6 months seriously performing her own music. Yep, that’s the new timeline of this rockstar. (Cool side note: Adriani has goals of creating an insurance (auto and health) program for artists to obtain. Woot!) You def. want to read her advice and tips. She ROCKS!"

20 APRIL 2011
Have you ever been to a show and, while you’re in the crowd of people having a blast, you just know that the performer’s having fun too? Those are the best shows. It doesn’t matter how big or how small, as long as that performer’s having the time of their life, so are you because that energy is contagious.
And that energy can be found in Dree (Adriani) Paterson.
Shoved into the corner of the acoustic part of the Viper Room, Dree and her band (5 people total) played their hearts out. They were closer than I’ve ever seen any band performing, but somehow, no one got in the way of any other person’s musical moment. With two guitars, a bass, and drums, Dree’s band captured an indie-jazz sound that compliments her pop-indie-soul voice.
Dree – who started out dancing before moving onto her true passion as a singer – couldn’t stay still on the stool placed behind her microphone. Throughout every song she couldn’t help but jump up and dance to the songs she belted out into the small, cramped room.
So what type of genre does Dree fit into? Pop? Indie? Soul? Her songs pretty much covered every genre of music that get me up and dancing. Her first song incorporated a rap-talking part before she slid into a second song that was full of humor and a range that would make most singers jealous. Dree prefaced the song with a little bit of background – her friend went on a few dates with this guy and got an interesting surprise. I’d give it away, but the song’s full of too much suspense to ruin the surprise.
Dree went on to perform more songs that will make girls everywhere dance the night away. The best part about Dree’s music and persona? She’s all about real life and empowerment, especially for women.
Which is basically the best type of music out there.
This show in the corner of the Viper Room’s first floor transported fans out of the cramped room and into an intimate gathering as Dree made each of us feel like we were the only person in the room with her, having a grand time and sharing secrets. As the songs drew to a close, you were brought back to the Viper Room and the sounds of her friends, family and fans cheers. Dree’s energy, friendliness and talent makes her a performer who is sure to go far.
As far as the music and lyrics go, they’re very unique. She’s the daughter of a rock-indie-pop orgie. And she’s just had her single “Waiting” featured on the television show Parenthood. Dree’s released two singles so far – Waiting and Do That – and she’s currently working on finishing her EP. With that release, the music industry’s about to be hit with yet another singer who’s about to capture the ears of the nation.

is the perfect song for those long summer nights that always last until the next morning. The very
talented Los Angeles native has only produced a handful of songs, but already her music has been heard
in the TV show “Parenthood”. After listening to “Do That” I can fully understand why her music is as hot
as the city she came from.
“Do That’ is an excellent example that artists do not need to be mainstream
to produce amazing, priceless songs that will forever be stuck in my head. Be on the lookout for Dree
and her energizing tunes in the near future, she will be releasing an upcoming EP and will soon be
invading the airwaves at Outside The Dial.
