His CD has received critical acclaim from reviewers and fans alike. “Not many minds would be able to piece together the beats that Jounce has and certainly not in the style that he has arranged them. If you’re a fan of the club scene and electronic/dance music (or even if you’re not), this is an album that must be heard. It’s been a long time since dance music has sounded this grand.
Graduating at the top of his class from the Recording Institute of Technology in Hollywood, California, Jounce immediately put his magical skills to work. Landing a prominent deal with Calvin Klein, Jounce recorded the music for a marketing campaign before heading into the studio to record his rookie release.
Sherryce, who has a voice like smooth chocolate, and Rachel Lynn Sebastian, who sounds like a goddess, each make a guest appearance on the album. They handle vocal duties on two of its best songs. Sherryce sings lead on “Ooh La La,” which has club hit written all over it. Between her magical voice and Jounce’s ability at laying down brilliant rhythms, “Ooh La La Baisez Moi)” is destined for stardom.
Rachel Lynn Sebastian is featured on the closing track of the album, “I Gotchu Babe.” A slower R&B ballad, “I Gotchu Babe” is a mesmerizing and memorable track. Think Eminem and Rhinna’s hit “I Love The Way You Lie” and you’ll have an idea of how great this final song is. It leaves the listener wanting more and at that point, the repeat button will be hit so that the entire record can be played again. Temporal Ascent never gets old and never falters. For a debut record, the album is stunning. It is obvious that Jounce is an untapped gold mine of talent with a bright future in the industry.
Not many minds would be able to piece together the beats that Jounce has and certainly not in the style that he has arranged them. His talents are second to none and Jounce is a mastermind when it comes to dance music. Temporal Ascent is an exciting record that definitely left me yearning to hear more. I’m curious to know what else DJ Jounce has up his sleeve.
Packed with rhythmic, pulsating, beats and smooth slow jams, DJ Jounce’s Temporal Ascent is a fantastic album for fans of electronic, dance, and/or club music. If you are searching out a sound that will have your ass shaking on the dance floor (or at least in your car seat), I highly recommend that you check out Temporal Ascent.
Temporal Ascent is available now on ITunes, Rhapsody, Amazon music, and wherever records are sold.

Skope Magazine - DJ Jounce Interview Stoli: Where are we talking from and can you believe summer ...Skope Magazine - DJ Jounce Interview
Stoli: Where are we talking from and can you believe summer is almost over already?
Hi Stoli! First of all, thanks for having me. I'm actually in my home studio in Los Angeles right now. No, I can't believe this summer's already done. 2011 is flying by for sure.
Stoli: You released your debut album August 30. How are you feeling about the album and what can listeners expect from that?
I'm really excited about my debut CD. I'm really happy with the songs ... and I want to thank the singers who collaborated with me on 4 tracks. In no particular order: Sherryce, Sha Sabi, K'Sandra and Rachel Lynn Sebastian ... they're all wonderfully talented in their individual ways. Listeners can expect a nice mix of electronic music from electro house to pop and I guess some hints of trance. The feedback has been great so far, and I hope other music lovers get to hear and enjoy all the songs.
Stoli: At what age did you first attempt to spin records and how did you practice & develop your skills?
My first experience with turntables was in high school, but I didn't really get serious with it until after graduating. A friend of mine, DJ Greg, who's an awesome DJ by the way, gave me some good help right when I started getting serious. It took a lot of parties and nights at bars and clubs for me to develop, but I still practice to in my studio because there's always room for improvement.
Stoli: How did you get the alias DJ Jounce?
Most people think I just did a simple play on the word "bounce", but it's actually a physics term. This is gonna sound really nerdy, but it's "the rate of change of a jolt over time". Music I like generally has lots of bumping changes over time, so I thought the name could work.
stoli: Has your family supported your drive & passion to make music your career?
[I'm actually not that close with my family, so it's probably better to leave this question out ... sorry! :)]
Stoli: What do you enjoy more, playing live in a club or recording in the studio?
Hmm, I think I enjoy writing the music the most. But after that's done and it's time for recording, honestly, I think that part can actually be a little less enjoyable, especially when I keep messing up takes ... haha. Spinning live in a club is hard to compare because it's a totally different experience, but definitely an enjoyable one because it is a party.
Stoli: I love your song, "Melt In." Explain how you go about writing, composing, & recording that song?
Thanks! On that track, I think the syncopated simple melody came first and I honestly don't remember how it got my head. I was probably thinking about some action scene in a movie. But after that, drums came and then the other segments slowly filled in. In general, almost everything I wrote on this album was on computer using synthesizers and programmed drums. We recorded a lot of vocals in my home studio as well. I play guitar and that was done in the studio here for a couple tracks.
Stoli: You do a lot of production as well with various artists. What would be the best route for someone looking to work with you?
I'm always open to collaborating with other artists. It's inspiring, fun and can lead to some very cool results. Anyone can just e-mail a recording of their talent directly to me at DjJounce@yahoo.com.
Stoli: If I was to get my hands on your I-Pod or MP3 player. Who might I hear on there?
It's a pretty diverse collection for sure! I grew up listening to classical, jazz and rock. And as a DJ I have to have the house, hip hop, top 40 and electronic music. I'm a little lacking in the polka genre but fortunately I don't get many requests there ... haha.
Stoli: What DJ equipment are you currently using and do you spin vinyl or CD?
My main setup is kind of basic. I use Technics 1210-M5G vinyl turntables, Shure M44-7 needles, a Rane 57SL mixer, and Pioneer headphones. For software, I use Serato and Live. I don't mind

I was born and raised on the east coast and grew up loving music from as early as I can remember. I played instruments my whole life. In high school, my band played school dances and even a local bar. I live in Los Angeles now and perform mostly as a DJ. There's something about music that's just part of who I am, and I can't imagine myself doing anything else ... it's a passion beyond words.
Who are some of your influences? Music, Business or otherwise?
Honestly, my biggest influences are probably not the "who's who" of the world ... rather the what, how, when & where of everyday life. Inspiration comes from so many directions: a story from your friend, some funny person you met last night, the world news, cars screaming by with a random mix of music & noise, a silent moment of peace ... anything.
What have you been up to recently? Events, radio play, mag features, other media? Get your brag on.
As a songwriter and producer, I'm finishing up 15 tracks I co-wrote with 7 different artists. Several will be released on my debut CD this summer and available on iTunes. Some tracks are already getting online radio play alongside some heavy hitters like David Guetta and Tiesto. In the past few months, I had an interview with the ArtistFirst World Radio Network and I've done some major shows with some of my artists, including The Pre-Grammy party in Beverly Hills, the Star Face Fashion Show in LA, and my live electronic group Audoria is currently ranked #1 in our category for the Warped Tour Battle of the Bands. I was also featured in Calvin Klein's worldwide launch of its Brand X Clothing line. I have some other interviews and press that will be published when my CD is released. And some surprises to come so stay tuned!
The LIST is all about positivity and success. What improvements would you like to see in the industry?
Piracy and general music industry turmoil are obviously still a concern, but there are no easy solutions. Like you, I try to focus on the positive. I feel very fortunate I'm able to write, produce & play music for a career and it's something I'll do until I die. I don't take anything for granted. Whether my music is loved by millions or just by the fans I have now, it won't change the fact that I've already found success in doing what I love.
What's next for Audoria? Plugs? Shoutouts?
Audoria's in midst of the Battle of the Bands for a spot on the Warped Tour. We will have other shows and will post details on www.Audoria.com when finalized. You can find me at www.DjJounce.com or on FaceBook via www.RoomTrip.com. Shoutout to K'Sandra and Crazy Drei, who formed Audoria with me. Shoutout to my friends and fans worldwide as I wouldn't be here without you. And of course shoutout to The LIST cause you wouldn't hear this without them.

This time I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to have an up-close and personal (well on a virtual scale since he’s living in L.A. and I’m all the way in Windsor!) glimpse into the challenging yet exciting career of DJ Jounce, who is anything but just a disc-jockey. He is also a talented artist, musician, songwriter and producer!
Creating a fusion of sounds that are addictive to the eardrums and energizing to the spirit, DJ Jounce ditches the path of ordinary to produce music that could only be described as extraordinary. Embracing h
is own groove and sharing his passion of what he was destined to do, Dj Jounce’s style is a comforting realization that music is truly the one element in life that brings us all together.
Below you can read my interview with Dj Jounce:
Melissa Arditti: Thanks for taking time out of your insanely busy schedule to sit down and do this interview for Windsor Square, I sincerely appreciate it!
Hi Melissa! No problem. It’s my pleasure. Thanks for having me.
M.A: From your recent live-air phone interview on ArtistFirst World Radio, which I listened to, you said you were born and raised on the East Coast. Let me ask, how has small town life kept you grounded for the drastic change and excitement of LA living?
LA definitely has a lot more going on than where I grew up … haha. Some things were …. and still are tempting … and potentially dangerous, but I guess having grown up without those things helped me know that I can still live without them. More importantly, I’m fortunate for my friends who do a good job of keeping me in check.
M.A: So I’m sure many people have inquired but I am really curious to know how you came up with the name DJ Jounce?
Oh yeah, great question. A lot of people think it’s just some silly name to rhyme with “bounce”, but it’s actually a real word. Call me a nerd, but I actually got “Jounce” from a physics term. Basically, it refers to the rate of change of a jerk over time. That jerk would be me [grin].
M.A: You’re obviously a musician at heart, being trained at such an early age to learn guitar, piano and other instruments. How do you feel that your musical style evolved since the start of your career, especially with the constant changes in technology?
I’ve tried to embrace the changes, and to take advantage of them whenever it’s been helpful. For example, instead of playing a regular piano, the keys on a keyboard can now play something totally different through the computer. So while I started off with traditional acoustic instruments, I’m now in the deep end with electronic music. The old boundaries have been erased, so everyone can write something new. And I’m trying to write new stuff all the time.
M.A: Since you are not only a dj but also focus a lot of creative energy on actual songwriting, I heard that you sing in the shower for inspiration. How else do you create meaningful lyrics?
Haha … I sing anywhere and anytime. Music’s just always on my mind. I’ve belted it out at the top of my lungs in my car only to find people in the next car staring at me cause my window was down. Anything in life can inspire lyrics for me. And it can come at anytime … good to have phones these days where we can just type lyrics in or record a little melody before you lose it. I’ve got pages of random ideas and thoughts. Most of them just need to be organized into lyrics for a song.
M.A: In 2010, Homeless Volume 1 was never formally released, but what an incredible cd! I must say that I am truly in awe with the track “A Memory Of.” It invoked so many emotions in me and so what was your inspiration behind making this song?
Thanks … it really is a personal track for me. It was inspired by the death of someone close to me. But I don’t want the track to be a d

The disc will be released by Room Trip Music on August 30, 2011 and will be available on iTunes, Amazon.com and other major online outlets.
Well-known for both his solo work and vast collaborations with many diverse artists in the music industry, DJ Jounce prides himself on the fact that “everyone’s unique style brings something different to the table, so every song ends up having its own flavor and sound.” While mixing in a little Pop, R&B, and other eclectic sounds on tracks like “Ooh La La (Baisez Moi)” featuring Sherryce and “I Gotchu Babe” featuring Rachel Lynn Sebastian, DJ Jounce impeccably maintains a notable cohesiveness and stylistic continuity throughout the album.
"Melt In," the first track on Temporal Ascent, immediately amps up the energy and drive with a splendid blend of Electro, House and Techno grooves that's a deep feast for the listeners' ears. And the heartfelt track, “A Memory Of,” is bound to provoke emotion in anyone who listens to just the first 30 seconds of the song. Composed after the passing of someone extremely close to him, the personal connection that DJ Jounce makes with his listeners becomes inseparable. For anybody who has lost someone, the song is anything but mournful, it is meant to celebrate all the good memories. Jounce explains, “The ending piano lines are like a conversation back-and-forth because I can still hear her voice.”
Featured on ArtistFirst World Radio and being sought after by other global media, the impact of Temporal Ascent has already started to make lasting impressions, including early praise such as this quote from Windsor Square in Canada: “creating a fusion of sounds that are addictive to the eardrums and energizing to the spirit, DJ Jounce ditches the path of ordinary to produce music that could only be described as extraordinary.”
In addition to the new CD, Jounce has numerous upcoming live performances, and intends to combine a cutting-edge auditory and visual experience of his music for his fans in a way that others have only just begun to scratch the surface.
At the end of the day, embracing his own groove and sharing his passion of what he was destined to do, DJ Jounce's style is a comforting realization that music is truly the one element in life that brings us all together.
