Throne of Vengeance formed in early 2009, releasing their debut EP, “Toxic Black Cloud” in the fall.
The band’s ambition and dedication to the craft had them tearing up stages across Canada – touring from Fernie, B.C., to Montreal, Quebec, in support of their first full-length album, “Flesh Engine”. The album was produced by AOR legend Paul Sabu in February of 2011. This was a ferociously busy period for the band that saw them perform at Calgary’s Beerfest 2011, as the Top 3 winners of the Original Music Showcase, as well as a number of outdoor festivals including
Touch of Death, In Our Blood, and Calgary Metalfest.
After being featured on CJSW’s Megawatt Mayhem compilation in 2011 and multiple live radio sessions, the band hit #4 on the National “Loud” charts on Canadian College Radio in April 2012.
Throne of Vengeance has had the amazing opportunity to share the stage with various notable names, including: Kill Devil Hill (Pantera bassist Rex Brown; Black Sabbath/Heaven & Hell drummer Vince (Vinny) Appice), 3 Inches Of Blood, and Steven Pearcy of RATT.
Their heavy hitting sound, which features dueling guitars and a wide range of vocal styling, impressed the judges enough to be crowned winners of Calgary Beer Core (CBC)
Best Rock Band in both 2011 and 2012. With old-school influences that include Iron Maiden and Megadeth, with a little new age sludge thrown into the mix, the band have come a long
way perfecting and progressing their sound.
With their classic metal feel and modern groove, Throne of Vengeance are ready to
continue inspiring and empowering their fans with their music and passion, and are
looking forward to embarking on their next set of exciting adventures, including a new
record and more touring, of course!

One thing that I really enjoy about this album is that guitar reminds me of classic metal. You can feel the passion and drive in the songs.
“Terminal Velocity” is a bit lighter sounding, but still has that rock n roll/ metal edge. The vocals are awesome on this song. The talent of this band is something you just can’t miss when you are listening. Even if this type of music isn’t your thing, you will be able to appreciate the passion behind the music. And if you are a fan of heavy rock/ metal, this is a band I would highly recommend.
