Biography
Da Kinky Kid born and raised on the South side of Chicago has grown to be one ruthless female, who doesn’t take NO for an answer. Her skills include writing, co-writing, performing and producing her own music.
Da Kinky Kid is currently working on a CD that will show why her love of hip hop has allowed her to not give up on her dream. Living in a society where bling, flashiness, and true lyrical skills don’t matter, she has come back to make a point.
Da Kinky Kid was once a part of Chicago’s very own “Sinista M.O.B”, and had the opportunity to open up for such artist as; 2Pac, McLyte, Tribe Called Quest and many other venues throughout Chicago. Members in the group found her style to be intense and thought she would shine as a solo artist.
Da Kinky Kid as a solo artist has rocked the stage with “The Parliament” and recently made it to the finals of Midwest’s Hungriest Rapper held here in Chicago Jan. 2010.
