Biography
EVK started in December of 2008 When Chelsea and her little brother Stevie wanted to learn Sweet Child of Mine for a local talent show. Their guitar teacher, Eric Vincent Kelly (aka Fat Vinny) helped them and their cousins Evan and Noelle learn the Guns and Roses classic along with several other tunes. Due to scheduling conflict they never played at the talent show.
In the spring of 2009 Vinny was taken from us by a heart attack and since a band name hadn't been chosen his initials became the official name of the band.
Shortly after his Vinny's passing EVK played their first gig at 30Something in Altoona Pa.
During 2010 the band experienced some changes with Evan and Noelle moving on to other interests and Emmett adding his jazzy bass style.
EVK has been playing shows in and around Blair County Pa pretty consistently since they started.
