After 5 years of playing and touring clubs and bars, Hogan Says is putting the finishing touches on their debut album, to be released in the Spring/Summer of 2011. This Detroit based rock band delivers the guitar harmonies reminiscent of the classic rock days of the past. Influenced largely by the music of the 70s and 90s and in particular Pink Floyd, My Morning Jacket and Trey Anastasio, Hogan Says has made a name for itself with its classic rock sound with a twist. Led by lead guitarist, Chris Emmerson, Hogan Says is known for a pulling the crowd in as he shreds his signature licks. The guitar talent does not end there - rhythm guitarist Maurice Hogan is a natural and together with Emmerson, they create a dynamic guitar sound. Bassist Danny Emmerson rounds out the trio, he is an up and coming bass player with raw talent. This trio of guitarists live and breath their work...They play with a passion for their music and have a strong following in the Detroit Metropolitan area. Hogan Says recently played for a sold out crowd at The Majestic Theatre in downtown Detroit, MI. They also won the 2008 Karmanos/Hard Rock Cafe Battle of the Bands - a Karmanos Cancer Foundation event that raised money for Cancer Research.
