Based out of the Northeastern Illinois/Southeastern Wisconsin area, Mandy Z & Rural Route One is an award winning Rockin' Country Band that entertains at venues of all sizes, fairs, festivals, events, & much more throughout the Midwest, performing Covers & Originals.

Rock The Ark Winners!

Our Country Music influences range from Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, and Asleep At The Wheel, to Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Martina McBride, Sugarland, and many, many more.

One of the biggest things they take pride in is that they are unique, dynamic, and entertaining. Each of their original songs has a different sense, feel, and style to it. From Rockabilly Country to Swampy Country Blues to a Sweet Ballad, each song is different from the next. Bob Lindsley drives the band keeping’ the solid strong beat on the drums, along with supporting vocals, while Jim Roxworthy stays locked in on the low end on Bass. Bart Alonzo & Patrick "Hutch" Hutchins are on vocals & guitar, both taking leads & rhythm. Bart's style brings the "rock" feel to the songs, while Hutch has his signature "chickin' pickin'" riffs. Singer/Songwriter Mandy Z fronts the band on vocals & rhythm guitar, bringing the audience into every show with her enthusiasm & excitement that has been described as contagious. She has a unique vocal style and puts her heart & soul into every lyric of the songs.

Our members' resumes include a long list of experience! From touring and playing on major stages all over the U.S., being featured performers at various events, fairs, & festivals, to playing on stages at the Chicago Country Music Festival, Summerfest in Milwaukee, and playing with some of Country Music's best musicians and much more.

Don’t let this “Local” Lady of Country Music fool ya’…she’s a Firecracker on Stage, full of energy and yet can sing a Country Ballad so sultry that it leaves the boys breathless (sorry fellas, she’s taken).
  
  This “Texaco Country Showdown” 4th Place Finalist Band has already made an impact on not only
  the local scene, but nationally as well. With her fellow cohorts, Bob Lindsley, Patrick “Hutch” Hutchins, Jim Roxworthy and Bart Alonzo, they round out this talented beauty with great harmonies as well as their musical talents, providing “Rockin’ Country” their way! They have been instrumental in lending their talents to various local Charities, even on short notice, they prove their versatility and professionalism in helping out those less fortunate by providing quality entertainment and support to families in need.
  
  Not only is Mandy a talented singer, but also an accomplished songwriter as well. Her song “Drinkin’ Song” written in collaboration with another local musician has been played live and been well received by local venues, local and national radio stations and been danced to by country line dancers around the area…
  
  A singer since she was a child, this girl dreamed of becoming more than just a pretty face who can sing…her recent and greatest accomplishment to date will be coming on November 17th of this year, when she and her band will make their “BIG DEBUT” in Nashville, TN at Tootsies Orchid Lounge!
