An amp malfunction at the start of the set allowed us to savour the cool cheek, easy speak of a trilby headed Lee Matthews, while Mr. Cool, aka Rob Dymond, lead guitarist, resurrected the musical magnifier. Once up and running I was able to exfoliate my senses with Lee’s powerful voice, which has more gravel than my New Jersey drive. The excitement and velocity of a song like ‘Voobar’ drags you along like a spider hanging on to the side mirror of a fast car in the fast lane. Scott Guarnieri and jordan o'sulivan exchanged grins and flayed the strings, injecting a seam of sound as deliciously satisfying to the ears as jam scones and tea is to the tongue. Mr. Tozer, (drummer with great teeth), thrashed and bashed with an innately brilliant sense of rhythm that enhanced every song."
