Biography
Formed in late 2010 by guitarists Chris Metz and Harley Marcel (who met each other through Craigslist of all absurd places) Backstage Romance was born out of the desire to create powerful, driven, female-fronted rock. After solidifying lead singer Jolie Hart and synth player TJ Whiting, the band began recording tracks in early 2011 with engineer John Golden at Tritone Studios and released their debut EP "There Could Be Colors" on Valentine's Day.
After experimenting with style, Backstage Romance arrived at its current incarnation in spring 2011. Combining influences of powerpop, pop punk, indie rock and electronica, Backstage Romance defy genres with their unique breed of melodic pop rock. Their next EP will be released this summer.
