Biography
Rooftop Manor is an alternative rock band based in the untamed wilderness of... Long Island, New York. The diverse musical backgrounds and interests of its members give Rooftop Manor an eclectic sound, rife with rhythmic and reflective flair. They point to the influences of Radiohead, Chopin, Muse, The Decemberists, Sonic Youth, Arcade Fire, The Antlers, and Queens of the Stone Age, among others.
Last year, Rooftop Manor took second place in the Next Big Thing competition at Webster Hall in NYC -- against bands of all ages -- and were one of only ten bands in the nation to be a finalist in NAMM's (National Association of Music Merchants) SchoolJam USA Best Teen Band competition.
Now a bit older, the guys take their dynamic act all over the New York City area, most proudly at the legendary Bitter End and at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn. Rooftop Manor has just released its first EP, A New Kind of Silence.
