Hey TFT Just won Gary Allen's Songapalooza for Get Back On The Highway.
Also "Get Back On The Highway" and "Sleepin' In The Devil's Arms have been licenced by Crucial Music for TV/Film placement.

Fresh out of the studio with Grammy winning producer David Ivory (The Roots, Halestorm, Patti LaBelle) 2013 will find Ten Foot Tall touring in support of their latest release. After being asked to open a series of shows in the Northeast w/Los Lonely Boys, backing up Rock & Roll hall of famer Bernie Worrell at the Sourland Festival, and an appearance by frontman Popik opening for the Jerry Garcia Band as well as a featured spot at the Cape May Singer Songwriter festival, a prime spot at the Cutting Edge Festival/Conference in New Orleans,Ten Foot Tall has built quite a resume. 'Love & Stone' from the 2nd release "Feelin' Fine" has been selected for the Alternate Root's Sampler CD. A return to Cape May and a featured spot at MMC15, a billing w/legend Dave Mason and a friday evening spot at Musikfest in Bethlehem as well as opening 2 shows for Marshall Tucker and a double Bill w/Robert Hazard round out a solid history.

Funk in our feet, Blues in our Gut, Jazz in our heart and Love on our mind. Whether it's solo acoustic guitar fingerpicking or more jazzy electrified excursions TFT paints colorful scenes and creates moods evocative of the American landscape. Popik can do solo shows, bring the frontline of guitar and vocals or the full band. CD released Jan '06. 1st track Nothin's Guaranteed is in regular rotation on Jango radio and has been featured on WDHA's 105.5 Homegrown Spotlight, WRAT 95.9 has featured 3 songs on the 'Jersey Rocks' show, Repeated play on WNTI 91.9, Centenary College, WLVR, Lehigh Valley as well as homegrownradionj.com and the Chris Musgrave show on KGKIRadio.com.   I was recently contacted about an amazing blues rock band out of Hopewell, NJ, called Ten Foot Tall. They have a sound that is comparable to The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd and even the Grateful Dead. I guess that’s more of a country rock sound. Either way, I really enjoyed it! Songs like “Get Back On The Highway,” “Sleepin’ In The Devil’s Arms,” and “Feelin’ Fine” really make you want to drive out to the country (or South Jersey) with your windows rolled down, hair blowing in the wind, and blasting these tunes!
  
  Ten Foot Tall find themselves fresh out of the studio with Grammy award-winning producer David Ivory, who is known for his work with The Roots, Halestorm and Patti LaBelle. 2012 is looking to be a busy one for singer/guitarist and founder James Popik and his crew, as Ten Foot Tall plan on doing a lot of touring in support of their third CD, Get Back On The Highway. The guys from Ten Foot Tall are excited that their high-energy live performances have finally been captured in a studio recording. Joining Popik (the group’s fearless leader) in Ten Foot Tall is guitarist Jeff Page, bassist Luke Kessel, keyboardist Pete Nardone, drummer Andy Janowiak, and the vocals and percussion of Jeanne Yarrow.
  
  No strangers to touring, Ten Foot Tall has already hit the road with The Marshall Tucker Band, double-billed with Robert Hazard, and they’ve even earned a support slot for the legendary Dave Mason at the Tarrytown Music Hall in New York.   I can give Ten Foot Tall the greatest compliment someone in my position can give a local band: I pla...I can give Ten Foot Tall the greatest compliment someone in my position can give a local band: I played its CD over and over again because I wanted to, not because I had to. It helps that the Central Jersey-based act plays a style of music that I really love: Southern rock that's as melodic as it is jammy. Fans of the Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd and especially Marshall Tucker Band will dig Ten Foot Tall. Given those bands' New Jersey followings, Ten Foot Tall has a huge potential audience for its thoroughly enjoyable self-titled indie debut EP.
  
  The band also should draw well and enlist new fans when opening for Marshall Tucker on Friday at Starland Ballroom, Sayreville. If you can't make that show, there will be plenty of Ten Foot Tall to enjoy this weekend. The band also will play the Black Potatoe Festival on Saturday at the Red Mill Museum Village in Clinton.
  
  I hope that Tracy Sousa of What the Funk? is singing backups for them there because her sweet, sexy, soulful backing vox adds greatly to the band. What the Funk? bassist Luke "The Duke" Kessel also is on board and is his ever-funky self.
  
  The tasty slide playing of Jeff Page and James Popik, the percussive pop of Clay Cassel and the classical-rooted, Benmont Tench-like keyboards of Pete Nardone also impress, particularly on the instrumentals "Dickey's Lament," a tribute to former Allman Brother Dickey Betts, and the closing "Catch 22."
  
  Popik's singing and songwriting won't turn the music industry on its ear, but both sport a familiar charm that hold their own. I particularly like his Radiators-like tale "Midnight in New Orleans."

They sound as if they could have come from the Southland as well,but no,they are Jersey boys through and through. They have opened for the likes of The Marshall Tucker Band so they have defiantly managed to pull off the Southern Rock vibe! However,I should probably just let their bio speak for them,"Ten Foot Tall draws from funky New Orleans grooves,searing Blues as well Jazz and Classic Rock for a deep,rich sound. If Lowell George and Stevie Ray Vaughn sat in with the Allmans while Dr. John manned the keys and Bonnie Rait stopped by it might sound like Ten Foot Tall." Now doesn't that make you you want to reach for a cold beer and a pair of headphones?! It certainly does for me! So check out Ten Foot Tall this week on Jersey Rock wear your cutoffs,and grab a couple of cold beers and adjust your headphones accordingly.

Covers may include Confidential (Radiators) Straight Shot (Subdudes) Alright (Derek Trucks) & Any Allmans tune that's appropriate. We also cover Little Feat, Blind Faith, Gov't Mule sometimes a jazz standard.
