The Rough Customers

Genre: Rock
Secondary Genre: Reggae Lexington, Kentucky USA Contact

The Rough Customers are a female fronted, high energy, Ska/Punk band, with their own special blend of the genre, incorporating elements of Surf Rock, Jazz, and even Classical music at times, but never straying far enough from their roots to alienate those who are in it for a two-tone beat! Skank on!

Artist Information

Biography

The Rough Customers arose from the ashes of it's predecessor, The Iron Mikes, in the autumn of 2008, when the band parted ways with their singer. Original members Thomas Cornett, Tim Vice, Darin King, Jimmy Russell, and Mike Trusty stayed on board to try and tackle the ska/punk style one more time under their new title, which led them to their two new additions to the lineup, Beth Jenkins and Elise York.

After just two short months of writing new material, and re-writing old material, they played their first show and were an instant crowd favorite. For the following two years TRC took the local scene by storm, garnering a large, devoted following, due to their epic and catchy sound and ever-improving showmanship. In August 2010 they released their first E.P. entitled, "We Break It, You Buy It", in a bar packed to double its legal capacity.

In November 2010 TRC parted ways with their guitarist, Jimmy, and began their search for a new one. In no time, they had adopted Brad Minton as their guitarist and were back to playing shows by January 2011.

TRC played continuously throughout 2011, reaching out to their neighboring states for the first time, and receiving a positive response from every crowd that saw them. In early 2012 they will be recording their first full length album for release in the Spring.
