Lucas Christenson was born in Mt. Clemens Michigan August 31, 1988. He spent the majority of his growing years in a small town called Mio Michigan. At a young age Lucas decided that he wanted to be a singer. Lucas started off singing along to CD’s that his older brothers Clayton and Mathew Bowers did not want anymore. It wasn’t until Lucas met Steven Crandall The guitarist for “Bard” that he became serious about his passion for music. They formed a band together and while it was rough at best it gave them the courage they needed to make the trip to Hollywood and make music the way it was meant to be. After a tragic fire that burned both of their possessions they continued forward to Hollywood to be without a home. After two years of hard work and dedication Lucas met Jacob Craner who became the Pianist of Bard. Together they created the album. “No Sleep for the Lonely”.
Steven Crandall grew up in a small town in northern Michigan. At the age of 23, he moved to Los Angeles, with fellow band member/high school friend Lucas Christenson, to pursue a career in music. They packed up their things and hit the road, California bound, in May of 2009. Halfway through the journey, disaster struck. While traveling on I-80, their camper, along with everything they owned, caught fire in Nebraska. Despite the devastating event, they continued forward on their journey. Soon after the move, they met Jacob Craner. He was the missing piece of the puzzle. A perfect fit. The band was now complete. They spent the next year rebuilding what they had lost, writing new songs, and getting ready for the next step.
Jacob Craner has always been, is, and forever shall be a musician. Born in 1990 in Spokane, Washington, his childhood was dotted with school plays and recitals, as he learned to play piano and sing at a young age. Eventually he moved to Sandpoint, Idaho, where he played and bands and sang in choirs all throughout high school. After high school, he attended the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, Arizona, where he acquired a degree in audio engineering. After the Conservatory, he moved to Los Angeles and currently works as a mixing and recording engineer at a post production facility in Burbank. This is also where he met Luke Christianson and Steve Crandall and eventually became the pianist and backup vocalist for Bard.
