Biography

THE BLUESNIKS bring a unique blend of chicago blues, memphis soul, west coast swing and funky grooves to stages and venues across the Chicago and Midwest music scene. Featuring a soulful horn section, hot guitar, a rockin' rhthym section, barrelhouse piano, and a luscious Hammond organ. This band has the BLUES jumpin' swingin' and rockin!

THE BLUESNIKS members are musicians that have been playing in various groups and styles around Chicago and the midwest for the past 20 years. From jazz combos, big band, rock, swing, blues, pop, ska, funk, R&B, and every style in-between.
We came together as THE BLUESNIKS to bring it all into one group, to perform these many styles..... all of which come from the BLUES.

The blues can swing.... the blues can rock.... the blues can be funky.... the blues jump.... and IT ALL COMES FROM THE BLUESNIKS !

We often host surprise guest musicians at many of our shows, who are not only our friends, but some of the most talented musicians of various styles around Chicago and the midwest.

The BLUESNIKS dig into the collections of traditional and contemporary popular tunes and hidden gems, performing an array of music and styles from artists including Tommy Castro, Ray Charles, Little Milton, James Brown, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Tab Benoit, Sam and Dave, Floyd Dixon, BB King, and many others.

It all comes from the blues.... and It All Comes From THE BLUESNIKS !!!

The mission of CVLS is to ensure that the law works for everyone. This is the 19th year for the CVLS 5K run/walk event, and all are looking forward to making this year the biggest and best ever.

The event is a day of great BBQ Rib recipes presented by a number of guest cooks competing for the coveted award of Best Ribs of the Event. The event includes live music, drinks, and fun for all.

  The group performs a variety of music in many different styles, all based on blues origins. But this isn’t your predictable blues repertoire. The group performs a mix of Chicago, Memphis and West Coast styles and tunes from many classic and contemporary artists, including Ray Charles, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Delbert McClinton, Taj Mahal, Sam & Dave, Tommy Castro, Coco Montoya, Junior Wells, Tab Benoit, Eric Clapton and so many others. This is a show that pleases all ages and all levels of music lovers, aficionados and weekend party goers.
