Biography


Situated in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is one of the world’s most extensive music scenes. But like music scenes everywhere, Milwaukee’s is dying. The world of music is continually disappearing as an art form and reappearing as a bland mixture of cliché lyrics and commercialism, driven by screaming fan girls. The will of the mainstream is infecting every genre of music, and placing capital before quality. This is the world that we live in. Where the crust doesn’t stray far from the core. Where all originality is fading.

A Study in Scarlet is a 5-piece hardcore/metalcore band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin that boasts heavily distorted down-tuned guitars, headbang-worthy screams, and moshable breakdowns. Applying influences from many genres, including melodic metalcore, post-hardcore, the blues, deathcore, heavy metal, indie rock, emocore, etc. A Study in Scarlet is the epitome of originality.
