Biography
Siren Sea is music written by artists Reema and Nik Schonbeck; characterized by melodic instrumentation and an explorative and fearless attitude towards music and what can be demanded organically from the musicians and their respective instruments. At a show, you watch the songwriters connect with the deepest, darkest part of their soul, and in turn, you are bidding yourself an open door to do the same; to let the past wash away through the notes of each song.

Few things heal the soul more than music, especially when you hear that perfect song that opens you. The longer we watch Nik and Reema write, the closer we watch them get to finding that place; in perfect harmony with the song and themselves.
A native Floridian, Reema has been performing professionally since she was 19. As a session singer, she has traveled all over the US recording with artists like Micah Wilshire (Sony Records,) Jeff Jacobs (Billy Joel/Foreigner), and DJ R1CKONE (BEP). Of her accomplishments she is most proud of is being accepted as an on-file artist for Cirque du Soleil.

Nik studied Jazz since age 16, beginning in Sweden, then LA, and lastly UNT in Denton, TX, where he played with artists like Norah Jones, Sha-Rone Kushnir and Ignacio Berroa (Dizzy Gillespie/Jaco Pastorius/Chick Corea/Pat Metheny.)

?Together, they work to find a perfect balance between darkness and light; Optimism and realism; for you can't have the day without the night.

In 2011 the band was asked to write and record a song for the movie 'Blissful Lies,' starring Leann Hunley; "Lies." (available for purchase in iTunes)
They are currently in the studio recording their debut LP.
