Lauren Marcus

I would describe all of this as a mess of red hair, cowboy boots, and word play all wrapped up in strangely hummable songs of the indie/folk/pop/rock genre.

Lauren writes songs. And she sings them, too. She started performing them live in Glasgow, Scotland, where she began with open mics and eventually moved on to perform full sets of her music.

She was a big hit one night at The Clutha Bar, where a drunk old man told her she kind of reminded him of this womanly wife singer of this musician man he couldn't really remember the name of just that minute. She had red hair.

Lauren has performed at NYC venues including Rockwood Music Hall, The Path Cafe, Caffe Vivaldi, The P&G Bar, and Le Poisson Rouge. She likes to call it indie/folk/pop/rock with a touch of the country, but doesn't mind if you call it whatever you want.

Demo recorded in NYC at Tumble Dry Music Studios
