Biography

The first four members of KriticKill came together in 1997 under the name Release. In 1998 they released their first album titled “The Building of an Empire.” After touring the state they decided to pursue a more unique, harder edged genre.

In 1999 they went to work on their new style. They were behind the scenes for months fine tuning their new sound and practicing their stage show. They then changed their name to KriticKill. In 2000 they released a three song demo and started touring. They rapidly became one of the hottest bands in the Central Texas area. With a song on the local radio station, 107.3 THE FOX, they started touring relentlessly.

In 2001, after touring all the major markets in Texas. (Dallas, Ft Worth, Austin, Waco, San Antonio, Houston, Abilene etc.) They entered the studio to work on their first full length KriticKill CD entitled “Trust”. After releasing the “Trust” CD in 2002, they continued touring. The new CD was a hit, selling thousands of copies at the local record store and at their shows.

In 2003 the local "Budweiser" distributer sponsored the band and they became a "Budweiser True Music Band".
Also in 2003 the band started writing music for their new project. After writing over 20 new songs they were once again ready for the studio. In mid 2004 they started recording tracks for the new CD “Psalms”. They finished up, designed the artwork and released “Psalms” on December 16th 2004. They played to a sold out croud at their CD release party.

KriticKill has opened up or played with several national acts such as Anthrax, Kittie, Fear Factory, Drowning Pool, Non Point, The Union Underground, Hatebreed, No One, American Headcharge, Killswitch Engage, Shadows Fall, Lennon, Flaw and many more. They also played with Jessica Simpson, Ludacris, Lynyrd Skynyrd and many more at a welcome home show for the returning troops at Ft Hood Texas.

KriticKill has played numerous shows benefiting many different organizations: American Heart Association, USO Welcome Home 4th Infantry Division and other MWR shows for the troops at Ft Hood either deploying or coming home.

In 2006, they added another Guitar player into the mix. They started work on a new album. The album was CO/Produced and mixed in Los Angeles by "Beau Hill" (Ratt, Warrant, Europe, Kip Winger, Alice Cooper, Shaka Kahn and many more). It is titled "Nothing Time Can't Heal" and is their best work to date!! We are currently shopping upper level management, Indie and Major labels! Have a listen and get back to us!
