Biography
Based out of Ottawa, Ontario, Canadian recording artist Ashley Crnic penned her first song at age 10. Classically trained, Ashley‘s voice ranges from gutsy Rock to heartfelt Blues. Her song writing and compositions focus on life’s gritty experiences. Ashley’s honesty and raw emotion permeate her soulful sounds. Performing with a fresh, natural and down to earth approach, Ashley achieves a timeless sound.
With the release of her first CD, “Full Grown”, Ashley Crnic has embarked on the road to becoming a Canadian presence. Ashley’s radio release to international markets received airplay around the globe. She frequents networking events such as the International Folk Alliance Conference in Memphis where she earned a showcase slot. She has performed as an invited artist at RBC Ottawa Bluesfest, Ottawa’s Junofest, Canada Day, Winterlude Festivities, Live 88.5's Big Money Shot, Sudbury’s New Music Fest, and Barrie’s New Music Fest (where she was awarded Best Singer Songwriter and nominated for Best Female Vocalist.)
Ashley will be performing at Toronto’s Canadian Music Week Friday, March 22, 2013.
Kanata Haven Youth Centre is currently working with Ashley on a project for youth mental health and suicide awareness to be presented to Youth Centres Canada Annual Conference in March 2013.
