Bio
John Anthony Wilson was born in the central Canadian prairie town of Dauphin, Manitoba to intensely musical parentage.
"Wilson" was literally steeped in music from birth, predominantly by his mother Sandra who was / is a talented professional musician and music teacher. She saw to it that his musical education began at age three and by the time he was fifteen he could play cello, bagpipes, trumpet, guitar, bass and piano. While his roots lay nestled in the classical, folk and sacred genres he was later heavily influenced by punk rock, classic rock, alt-country and bluegrass.
He is a veteran on the Manitoba music scene and has played with numerous artists and in several bands, most recently, The Lemons.
CURRENTLY:
WILSON is crafting his first solo full length cd and keeps his stage skills honed by playing local gigs, house concerts and backing other musicians/bands.
WILSON is currently based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
