Ego and the Addicts - Bio
Ego officially released his debut album titled “Bottle of Drugs” on December 6, 2011 and plans to release the singles “Porn Star”, “Open”, “Bottle of Drugs” (the single) and “The One” shortly thereafter. Ego and the Addicts have been performing at many local venues but also have been gigging at more notable places such as Crash Mansion and S.O.B.’s in New York.
Ego describes his music as funky fusion of Cee-Lo Green and Lenny Kravitz.
The Lead Singer and Songwriter, Ego, was born and raised in Houston, Texas and as a child had dreams of becoming a star. In his youth, Ego was heavily influenced by Prince, TuPac and old 80’s rock music. His passion lead him to become very active with a Houston based record label and Ego began composing for local musicians. Wanting something more, Ego decided to take fate into his own hands and he moved to New York City to pursue a singing career.
In the summer of 2010 Ego formed the band, the Addicts: Chris Blaze, Lead Guitarist, King Lee, Key Board Player, G, the Drummer, Bee the Bass, Bass Guitarist and Race, Background Singer.
Ego and the Addicts have plans to keep performing on bigger stages and getting their music heard. They are currently working on the second album titled “Hell on Earth”.
