Biography

DJ Choppa Dunks started making music as a kid. He took on a passion for drums and was an immediate success. Choppa played in the reggae band Secret Po-Po for many years before moving to the US in 2008. While living in New York City, Choppa turned to the 1's and 2's. After a couple years DJing small parties he took his talents to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music. While at Berklee, Choppa has spun all over New England. Beside producing his own electronic music, Choppa is the DJ for Crossover Kidz, a Boston hip-hop group. DJ Choppa Dunks' newest project, Check My Steelo, released with Mista Marcel, got excellent reviews out the gate and is steadily becoming more and more popular.   Bermuda musician Harry Dunkley — who was performing in the popular local act Secret Po-Po while stil...Bermuda musician Harry Dunkley — who was performing in the popular local act Secret Po-Po while still a school boy — is heating up Beantown now as one of Boston’s favourite DJs.
  Now going by the stage name DJ Choppa Dunks, he played in the reggae band Secret Po-Po for many years before moving to the US in 2008.
  While living in New York City, he turned to DJ-ing and when he moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music he took his newfound skills with him.
  He has spun discs all over New England and last year he released his first EP of electronic music titled “Check My Steelo” which garnered rave reviews from Boston’s club-goers and music media.
  To add to his already busy schedule, he is now also the DJ for Crossover Kidz, a Boston hip-hop group.
