Brother & Sisters – Rocking the vote
In a time when you hear so much about young people not engaging in politics, it is truly refreshing to hear music made by four talented, mature, socially conscious artists whose message is clear: politics matters.
In the run up to the presidential election, there is surely no better time for Miami’s very own Brother & Sisters to unleash their call to arms for four more years of President Obama. The single – ‘He’s A Bad Barack Obama’ – is the ‘Hail to the Chief’ of the clubbing generation. It is both a rallying cry to their peers to get up and vote and a celebration of the President’s work.
Even more than that, it is a fine single from four insanely talented musicians that transcends the narrow confines of genre.
A bass-heavy, foot-tapping stormer, ‘Bad Barack Obama’ will have heads nodding in clubs up and down America. Hopefully, it will get a few more ticks on ballot papers too. It is catchy, fun and lyrically intelligent. In fact, it is everything that modern hip hop so often isn’t, but really should be.
Brother & Sisters have been performing since the age of 2. Music has always been a passion and, like so many Floridians, the four band members’ musical influences are wide and varied.
In the group’s music, you can hear traces of old-skool hip hop, soul, funk, Latin, reggae and even rock-n-roll. They all form together to create a unique sound, complemented by lyrics whose intelligence belies the fact that they are written by rappers barely out of high school.
All the elements that make Brother & Sisters the musical force that they are and will be combine in this single. It is going to get them firmly on the musical map and if it helps a certain President stay in the White House, all the better.

Brother & Sisters is originally from Miami, FL, and they were all born and raised there. They have been performing and singing since the ages 2-5, and they have traveled the entire U.S. At the ages 12-17 they took a great interest in rapping, which is how their group got started; for this would become a new chapter in their artistic lives.The Hip Hop / Rap / Pop Group Brother & Sisters consist of Yehuwdiyth, an eighteen year old young lady, who began college at fifteen, and is a junior majoring in Finance. Kebar, she is a sixteen year old Business Administration and Marketing sophomore, who started college at fourteen. Beyth-Shan is a twenty year old young woman, who began college at sixteen and is a senior Accounting major. Their brother Yehuwdah, a fourteen old young man, who recently graduated from high school, and will be majoring in Engineering Management Technology when he begins college in January 2013.
“He’s A Bad Barack Obama” is the introductory single to their musical career, and a special gift to the Democratic Party and President Obama, for having to overcome a difficult four years of an inherited bad economy. Brother & Sisters are also working on their twelve-track CD-Album HISTORICISM.
