Artist Information

Biography

From its inception, Battery Park has made its mark on the Denver music scene. The band works hard and plays hard, gaining momentum with every show.

Their song, "Tell Me" was featured on a segment of VH1's ROCK ACROSS AMERICA in June of 2001. They won the Jim Beam Unsigned Rock Band Northwest Regional competition at the Hard Rock Café - Denver and was a Top 5 Finalist at the National Finals. They continue to gain a reputation as a great live act with a great sound and continue to play high profile marquis shows, benefit shows, and festivals.

With an EP and a full length CD under their belts, they plan on recording a follow-up later this fall with the new material they’ve been pounding out in the rehearsal studio. Although the rehearsal studio is where sparks have been flying as of late, "My favorite time is being on stage, surrounded by the rest of the guys, and watching the audience react to the things we're doing together…its amazing." says j.

As a self managed band, they have a sense for the business side of the music as well, being featured on the front page of the Business section of the Denver Post for their work in online music promotion.

They are currently playing venues along the Front Range, preparing for the mountain towns this summer and winter, with plans to tour the midwest and coasts again in between recording sessions in the near future.

Setlist

Coming Home, I alone, This Time Around, I Will, Thinner Thread, Dissident, Coda, Tell Me, Break These Chains, to name a few.
We have about 2 hours of music consisting of about 75% originals and 25% covers. A shorter set will usually be very heavy on the originals. We have several songs that can develop into extended solos or jams if called for. As a whole, we will construct the set to the audience and can change things to accomodate a request or two.
