Artist Information

Biography

Most of the six members of Stealing Jane started their musical careers in the dive bars of the North Shore of Long Island. After playing marathon length cover sets for over five years, the band reinvented itself in 2007 as an original pop-rock group. Stealing Jane left the bar scene with a strong understanding of pop music, and a vigilant desire to create something really new, and accessible to listeners of all walks of life. The smooth vocals of singer Bryce Larsen, who cites influences such as Dave Grohl, Elvis Costello, Frank Sinatra, and Stevie Wonder, combined with the alternative rock sound of the rhythm section is accented by brass to create a truly unique flavor. Stealing Jane will fit right in anywhere from top 40 stations to rock or indie.

Stealing Jane is a tireless touring machine. They created an underground sensation by making available the live recordings of every show they play. In this “Underground Series” you may find recordings of their shows from well known New York City clubs like Bowery Ballroom, Blender Theater, Highline Ballroom, The Bitter End, BB Kings, and the Knitting Factory. They’ve also performed at The Crazy Donkey (NY), Giants Stadium (NJ), Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel (RI), Crocodile Rock (PA), The Stone Pony (NJ), The Higher Ground (VT), Petrus Night Club (KY), Webster Theater (CT) among many others.

Stealing Jane has shared the stage with many well known artists such as: Ryan Cabrera, Onerepublic, The Spin Doctors, Life House, Hanson, Tower of Power, Ninedays, Antigone Rising, Pepper, Tantric, As Tall As Lions, Toots & the Maytals, Catch 22, Big D and The Kids Table, George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Steel Train, State Radio, Zox, RX Bandits, The Wailers, and Eve 6 just to name a few. They pride themselves on their dedicated and loyal street team that boasts members from across the United States and beyond.

Stealing Jane has already received acclaim from high profile New York publications such as Good Times (who awarded them first place in the Long Island Music Festival) and the Inside Connection. The band has also received extensive radio play in over fifteen states and were also featured with an on air interview with XM radio’s Opie and Anthony during which their single "Heartbreaker" was played and reviewed. The song received much positive response from the often harshly critical audience of the show.

Stealing Jane is a band that is on its way to the top. They have created a sound that is unique to the music industry today, and their hard work is paying off.
