Biography
Vortex is not just the band that consists of Chlorine (vox) and Binary (git, keys, dj, mixing). Vortex is a 21st century lifestyle occurrence. They live in the ant hive New York City where everything is everything, everything is nothing and nothing is everything. They are musicians, visual artists, humanitarians, dog lovers, Mac lovers, geeks, scatterbrains and multi-taskers. Just like any other New Yorker, you might say. What sets them apart is their sensitivity to create songs that leave your soul with a stain that won't wash out. At least their fans like to think so. Like their place of residence, their music is a melting pot of influences, styles and cultures. Some of Vortex's work has been compared to Björk, Tricky or Portishead. An eclectic assembly, for sure, and one that Vortex is proud to be referenced with.
