Champagne Francis may be strictly underground right now but they're hitmakers in the making: if some major label doesn't come courting sooner or later, it'll be a shock. They're accessible enough to catch on with the Matchbox 20 or Wallflowers crowd but smart and thoughtful enough to pull fans of Elliott Smith or Aimee Mann, although they resemble the Beatles less than early, pop-oriented Wilco."

Brimming with home-recorded, acoustic pop, the "Waterskis" EP is a light, simple affair. Champagne Francis just may become a big name on the scene one day. The title track is undoubtedly the best piece here, taking a (slight) cue from the songwriting of Rob Pollard. Its infectious chorus is sure to get stuck in your brain for ages. The rest of the pieces all have their own qualities, as well, from the menacing, laidback glow of "New Waves" to the deceptively jolly melodies of "Very Aviary."

Setlist

Our set is about 30 minutes and most of our songs are about 3 minutes in length.
