VERITAE is a Chicago-based band in pursuit of a higher standard of music and creative freedom and not to be bound by the limitations of any one member, Troy and Krystof disbanded their former project to further their ambitions and dreams of something unique and powerful, each actively seeking to challenge themselves and their listeners through intense, inspiring and deepened performances and songwriting.

The music of VERITAE is a remarkable amalgamation of creatively un-categorizable modern music, masterfully combining keen instinct with raw talent to create compositions of atmosphere, beauty and power.

  CONGRATULATIONS! Your song "What Lies Beneath" has been selected from more than 1150 submissions! It was no easy task going through all these submissions, but we made it through the selection process alive (…well, sort of!) and we think that with the addition of your song, we got a great Compilation CD indicative of the diversity in the Sonicbids’ artist community!
  
  Along with the rest of the world, the Sonicbids staff has been witnessing the devastation and destruction that Hurricane Katrina has caused. Even closer to home, the hurricane has inflicted a big blow on one of the world’s true music capitals and has affected many, many musicians – many of them members of our close knit Sonicbids community.
  
  In an effort to raise funds for the victims of Hurricane Katrina, Sonicbids will be putting together a compilation CD to be distributed to over 2,000 active promoters on Sonicbids as well as from Sonicbids booths at music conferences such as South By Southwest, MIDEM, Canadian Music Week, North By Northeast and Folk Alliance; and festivals such as Bumbershoot and Summerfest.

  Veritae’s new CD "What Lies Beneath", features their first single of the same name. The band’s CD release party Last Friday night July 27th, 2007 was the perfect introduction to the Chicago music scene. Veritae preformed with the a vaudevillian showmanship of NIN or Pink Floyd. "What Lies Beneath", is the first in a series to be released every couple of months from the band, and several upcoming shows are being planned including the Elbow Room Chicago August 17th
  
  Review
  The full moon shines over the venue in West Dundee July 27th when VERITE hosted their first of three planned CD release shows. The stage darkens. You hear a synthesized beat, a guitar, drums. You feel suspense and mystery, red lights start the show, an entrance like no other, mystifying, as each member of the band walks onto the stage to join the already sounding music.
  
  You’re hooked - The magic of the guitars, the crowd screams - and the red lights illuminate there faces… it’s VERITAE. In red-blood light against a dead black stage, each of the five members perform handsomely. 2 guitars, a base, drums, and a lead vocal you need hear who wears dark black glass covering his eyes.
  The music of VERITAE is a remarkable combination of creatively un-categorizable modern music, masterfully combining keen instinct with raw talent to create compositions of atmosphere, beauty and power. VERITAE is a dark, melodic soundscape of powerful instrumentation--eloquent yet intense--a true leap forward in the arena of alternative metal / art-rock.
  
  You can tell the band shows appreciation for the concept of the live show as a spiritual experience, not only in audio but in the visual aspect as well; the event as an altar to a higher meaning....
  
  The show combines intelligent dark lyrics with a mysterious rock sound that is unique to Veritae, it is complemented by a fantastic lightshow that pierces the darkness from behind the band. Their stage presence engages the entire audience young and old at this all ages show. The venue is packed. Impressed by the guitar work and vocal harmony, these gentlemen are sincere performers, giving the audience a show to remember.
  
  Veritae is a must see band performing live at the Elbow Room on Lincoln in Chicago on August 17th. Veritae will be on stage at 9pm appearing with Dragonfly Red, Pipe, Scenic Route, and The Euphoric.
  This up and coming band is already reaching global proportions and peaking industry attention, Veritae has accumulated several prestigious accolades as well as the inclusion in exclusive VIP CD’s presented and distributed by Billboard and SonicBids.
