Biography

After winning a songwriting contest in 1999, Talbot was invited to open for THE BRIAN SETZER ORCHESTRA at the Playboy Mansion in L.A. Since then, he's been tapped by Bill Graham Presents to open for THE BEACH BOYS at Sacramento Valley Amphitheatre and by KTHX-FM 'THE X' in Reno, to perform at their ROLLIN ON THE RIVER 2004 outdoor concert series at Wingfield Amphitheatre, opening for JEN CHAPIN (Harry Chapin's daughter).

Twice voted *LAKE TAHOE'S BEST LOCAL MUSICIAN* for both 2001 & 2002, Talbot's also gained national media exposure with interviews and performances on the RESORT SPORTS TELEVISION NETWORK (RSN.com), the ALL STAR RADIO NETWORK, RADIO DISNEY, and SKI PRESS USA.

Talbot is currently recording his fourth CD of songs with strong universal themes to further broaden his audience.

Instrumentation

Averaging over 150 performance dates per year, Darin Talbot plays solo, duo, trio, or with the four piece DARIN TALBOT BAND. Talbot performs at events public and private, and for corporate and commercial clients including: SQUAW VALLEY USA, HEAVENLY SKI RESORT, NBC, HYATT, HILTON, NIKE, MICROSOFT, TAHOE BILTMORE, UNITED AIRLINES, HARLEY DAVIDSON, THE SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS, and THE SACRAMENTO SKI & SNOWBOARD EXPO. Now he's looking to gain a toehold in new markets...
