Artist Information
Biography
I am a modern folk rock and blues artist who mostly plays solo. I have played in bands and as a solo act since the late 1990's creating a blend of folk, jazz, punk and rockabilly to spin tales of being down and out, done with love, and tryign to break out of a one horse town. I started playing Jazz and Blue grass while still in high school by playing with the band Southern Country, but after leaving that group I went into a period of woodshedding learning piano, banjo and harmonica, and also building up original material. Disillusioned with modern music I turned to past forms of Americana drawing heavily on stream of conciouness styles of Bob Dylan, and storytelling of Tom Waits to create a modern synthesis of past forms and modern folk rock sophistication.
