Biography
Born June 22, in a rural South Georgia town, Yvette's childhood home was located directly across the street from the local honky-Tonk and pool hall, where every evening, starting about five o'clock, she would hear country and western, and other popular music styles of the day leaping from the jukebox within. So the dream began. At an early age she began to imitate many of the singers and practicing stage routines. Yvette started performing for friends and family members alike. Soon after she began singing in her church, local talent contest, school chorus, weddings and private parties. While developing a love for piano, Yvette found she had an aptitude for composing songs.
As was the fashion for young girls in her town at the time, Yvette married and began a family, putting away, but never forgetting, her dreams of, some day, recording and performing her own songs.
Many years passed before Yvette once again had the chance to pursue her dreams. And so, in 2002, with home made and children raised, she headed to the woodshed to polish her piano and vocal skills. Nearly a year later, she formed the "Intrepid Souls" with two other likeminded and gifted songwriters. Taking a hiatus from the "Souls" in 2004, she spent the last year on an internationally reaching tour singing with the Celtic rock band "Keltic Kudzu".
Since then Yvette has devoted much of her time to working on her own solo project, with a CD expected to be released in March 2006.
In December of 2005 Yvette started bringing other members into the circle of her music.
It has been exciting to see such a talented group of people work so well together and as a whole the band looks forward to many great successes in the future.
