Biography
Biography
With big beats, slick synth lines and driving guitars, FALLS combine elements of rock, pop, electronic and dance music to create their own brand of indie synth rock. This band knows how to deliver, with well crafted songs, infectious hooks and high-energy shows. On stage, live drums, bass, guitars, synths and vocals are juxtaposed with programmed beats and synthesizers while MIDI synchronized lights pulse and shimmer in time with the music. Lead singer Mark Stanfield’s soaring melodies and distinctive voice further define the uniqueness of their sound.
FALLS was formed in Toronto, CA in the fall of 2012. Though relatively new on the scene, all of its' members have been creative forces behind successful Canadian and American bands bringing years of experience in song writing,recording and touring throughout North America and Europe. Most recently, they have placed music in ads for Blackberry 10 and Yamaha Music and have had feature songs on Degrassi and in several documentaries.
A fan favorite, the band's electronic rendition of Chris Isaak's Wicked Game is a pulse pounding track that still evokes the passion of the original. Now in post-production, a music video for Wicked Game, a stylistic,Tarantino-esque mini action flick will be released in summer 2013.
FALLS have teamed up with internationally renowned producer / engineer Dean Nelson, well known for his work with Beck. The band is hard at work in the studio, writing and recording new material.
