Biography

ELIZA NEALS aka 'The Detroit Diva' has earned her name. Studying Opera at Wayne State University in Detroit and earning her cred on the streets of Motown, her voice and Killer band will Hold You Hostage! She is a must see female artist on the independent music scene. Writing with the BEST talent in Detroit,Eliza Neals has the hits to back it up. Blessed by the Best with a God given voice and spellbinding charisma, Eliza is pulling out all stops.

Moving recently from her home town of Detroit to New York City, Eliza has lifted audiences and sold out the best rooms including Joe’s Pub, Cutting Room, Knitting Factory, BB King's and has a residency at the longest running Rock venue in NYC,'The Bitter End'. Booking agent for the Bitter End's Pete Fogel says, "Eliza would be THE house band if I could have her here every night , she's in a class of her own". "Eliza's voice jumps into the ears of the innocent and strikes the heart of it's soul" says CASHBOX magazine. Starring in her own episode on BRAVO TV's 'Tim Gunn's Guide To Style' last year, Eliza hijacked the airways and even sang a song or two to the fashion guru Tim Gunn while getting a NYC makeover she didn't need.

Currently working with Detroit producer Martin "Tino" Gross of the "Howling Diablos"(Kid Rock and Uncle Kracker) and Motown Godfather Barrett Strong, together they are creating a Bluesy-Motown-Rock-Soul-Fortress. The new album will be released in 2011 and the songs will be a 'homage' for the love of her hometown 'Motown'.
