Biography

The Blue Suede Crew is embraced by audiences, young and old, who sing along with every word. We have performed in Las Vegas, opened for comedian Yakov Smirnoff at the Rosebud Theatre, Three Dog Night at the Corvette Fun Fest & Asleep at the Wheel in Herrin. We've entertained VIP's at President Casino in St. Louis, the Sears Tower, Eastern Illinois University and entertained the troops at Camp Atterbury in Indiana.

Take a musical journey with Scott Wattles and the Blue Suede Crew and relive some of the greatest music in Rock 'n' Roll history.

The musical journey begins with a tribute to the birth of Rock 'n' Roll, highlighting such artists as Bill Haley, Danny & the Juniors, Del Shannon and other early legends. The BSC picks up speed as they launch into the 60's era with music from the Beatles, Roy Orbison, Tom Jones, Nancy Sinatra, the Beach Boys, Elton John and even the Legendary Cher...

The second half of our journey pays tribute to one of the most successful and influential entertainers of all time. The one and only "King of Rock and Roll"... Ranked as one of the top Elvis Tribute Artists in the United States and Canada, the charismatic Scott Wattles skillfully recreates the high energy Vegas Style show that Elvis was most well-known for in the 70's era...Scott's incredible tribute is a clear reminder to all music lovers that Elvis is still "The King"!

With a variety packed show that appeals to all ages, Scott Wattles and the Blue Suede Crew can take your event to the next level!

In addition to the regular show and doing what no other tribute act has done before, The Blue Suede Crew has also recreated an entire 2 hour show dedicated to the Gospel Music made famous by Elvis Presley.

We traveled to the truly magical land of Sun Studios in Memphis, TN, the birthplace of Rock n Roll to record our "Sun Sessions" cd. Be sure to check out the audio section of this EPK to hear a few songs from that experience.

"Songs of Faith" is our tribute to the gospel music made famous by Elvis Presley.

  You can find countless Elvis soundalikes, there are less of them for Johnny Cash but you can count b...You can find countless Elvis soundalikes, there are less of them for Johnny Cash but you can count bands playing both Elvis & Cash on the fingers of one hand and The Blue Suede Crew also plays tribute to Howlin' Wolf, which also isn't that usual. Including....the band has two albums under its belt, including this one recorded at Sun Studio with legendary James Lott. They didn't look, like so many others, for a physical likeness to the artists, the voices are enough. Scott can sound like a juvenile Elvis on Sun as well as a more mature one on RCA or the bel canto Las Vegas Elvis. On the cd, you will find Sun tracks and others from later periods. On some, Lott has recreated the famous sun echo, without exaggeration and for others the arrangements are more big band type with a horn section. For the Cash tracks, they are sealed with that 706 Union Avenue boom-chickaboom sound.

I organized all our Food Show conventions at The Executive Inn, Owensboro, Ky and booked all the talent for those shows....from Nashville to Hawaii and I never had anyone as good as this group and I feel I have a little deeper knowledge and recognition of really great talent than the average bear.
