Biography

Scott Weis Band have been playing professionally on and off for approx 20 years. During those years, Scott has lead his own bands as well as worked with countless others. Scott worked with/or opened for some of the biggest bands and artists of all styles, such as Junior Wells, Jerry Garcia, BB King, Buddy Guy, U2, Dave Mathews, Nusrat Fata Ali Kahn, and John Lee Hooker just to name a few. Scott has done it all, from acoustic, to blues, to rock, to world music and jazz. Currently, he is fronting his own band blending adult alternative with raw rocking blues. The Scott Weis Band has been exploding out of the regional scene and have build a following this summer to draw 1500-2000 people when they played the Mountain Laurel Center for the Arts with Blues Traveler and Milford Music festival."The Scott Weis Band is the best opening act we have ever had, Hands down pro's and they are the reason this crowd is so pumped up tonight. The Scott Weis Band consists of a crew of versatile musicians from within the regional area.

Drummer: Roger Voss is an accomplished drummer and music instructor. His style of playing is diverse and ranges in the intensity of John Bonham to the subtleties of Steve Gadd.

Bass: Robert Kopec is the most sought after regional bass player, laying down chops like that of Jaco Pastorios and Stanley Clark. Robert has dominated the regional progressive jazz scene for years.

Setlist

The Scott Weis Band set list varies. Our usual sets are about 1 1/2 hours each set for three sets, but it depends on the venue. This band gives a club owner their money's worth. It is not uncommon to go for 4 hours.
Opening acts the band does a 45 minute set

They mix in originals with recognizable stuff from Curtis Mayfield, Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, James Brown, John Lee Hooker, Robert Johnson, Lightning Hopkins, Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Guy,Jr. Wells, Marvin Gaye, Eric Clapton, The Temptations
